Privacy policy

1.0 Personal data

We at www.seboom.com collect, process, and use your personal data only with your consent for the purposes agreed with you or if there is another legal basis in accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). The collection, processing, and use takes place in compliance with data protection and civil law provisions.

We only collect those personal data which are necessary to carry out and process our online services or which you have voluntarily made available to us.

Personal data are all data that contain individual information about personal or factual circumstances. This includes, for example, name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, age, gender or video recordings and photos.

You can send any complaints to the following e-mail address: office@seboom.com

2.0 Disclosure and deletion

As a user, you have the right to obtain at any time  information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing. You also have the right to have your data corrected, to transfer data, to object, to restrict processing, and to block or delete incorrect or illegally processed data.

If your personal data changes, we ask you to send us a message.

You can revoke your consent to use your personal data at any time. Your requests for information, deletion, correction, objection and/or, if this does not involve disproportionate effort, data transfer, can be sent to the address given in section 21.0.

If you think that the processing of your personal data by us violates the applicable data protection law, or that we have violated your data protection rights in any other way, you have the option to complain to the responsible supervisory authority. In Austria, the Data Protection Authority is responsible for this.

3.0 Data security

Seboom protects your personal data with appropriate organizational and technical precautions. These precautions concern in particular the protection against unauthorized, illegal or even accidental access, processing, loss, use and manipulation.

Notwithstanding our efforts to maintain an appropriately high level of due diligence, it cannot be excluded that other persons may view and use information that you provide to us via the Internet.

Please note that for this reason we cannot accept any liability whatsoever for the disclosure of information due to errors in data transmission not caused by us and/or for unauthorised access by third parties (for example in the event of a hacker attack on your e-mail account or on the Seboom homepage).

4.0 Use of the data

We will not use the data provided to us for purposes other than those covered by your contract with Seboom, by your consent or by any other provision in accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). This does not include use for statistical purposes, which will only apply if the data provided has been made anonymous.

5.0 Transmission of data to third parties

In order to comply with legal requirements, it may be necessary to pass on your data to third parties (for example, tax consultants or other institutions that we use and to whom we make data available). Your data will only be forwarded in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

Some of the recipients of your personal data mentioned above are located outside your country or process your personal data there. The level of data protection in other countries may not be the same as in Austria. However, we only transfer your personal data to countries for which the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection or we take measures to ensure that all recipients have an adequate level of data protection. For this purpose we conclude standard contractual clauses (2010/87/EC and/or 2004/915/EC).

6.0 Notification of data breaches

We make every effort to ensure that data breaches are detected at an early stage and, if necessary, immediately reported to you or the relevant regulatory authority, including the categories of data concerned.

7.0 Storage of data

Seboom will not retain your information longer than is necessary to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations and to avoid liability claims.

8.0 Cookies

The Seboom website uses “cookies” to make the service more user-friendly, effective, and safer. A “cookie” is a small text file that we send via our web server to the cookie file of the browser on the hard disk of your computer. This enables our website to recognize you as a user when a connection is established between our web server and your browser. This helps us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website. The content of the cookies we use is limited to an identification number that does not allow an individual user to be identified.

The main purpose of a cookie is to recognize the visitors of the website. The Seboom website uses two types of cookies:

  • Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file of your browser until you leave our website and are automatically deleted at the end of your visit.
  • Persistent cookies: For improved user-friendliness, cookies remain stored on your end device and allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser to inform you when cookies are set, to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

9.0 Server log files

The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This serves to optimize the system performance and user-friendliness of the website and to provide useful information. The server log files contain your internet protocol address (IP address), browser and language settings, operating system, referrer URL, your internet service provider as well as the date and time.

The data from the server log files are not combined with personal data. We reserve the right to check this data subsequently if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

10.0 Our contact details

The protection of your data is particularly important to us. You can reach us at any time for questions or a revocation under the contact details listed below.

11.0 Vimeo

Our website uses plugins from the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

When you visit a page on seboom.com that is equipped with a Vimeo plugin, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. Vimeo learns your IP address and which of our pages you have visited, even if you are not logged in to Vimeo or do not have a Vimeo account. The information that Vimeo collects is transferred to the Vimeo server in the USA.

For more information about how Vimeo handles user data, please refer to the Vimeo privacy policy at https://vimeo.com/privacy.

12.0 TLS encryption with https

We use https to transmit data tap-proof on the Internet (data protection through technology design article 25 paragraph 1 GDPR). By using TLS (Transport Layer Security), an encryption protocol for secure data transmission on the Internet, we can ensure the protection of confidential data. You can recognize that this security is used by the small padlock symbol in the upper left corner of the browser and by the fact that https (instead of http) is displayed in front of our Internet address.

13.0 Data protection when registering for the newsletter

If you register for our newsletter, you provide us with the above personal data and authorize us to contact you by e-mail. The data Seboom stores when you register for our newsletter will only be used for our newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties.

This information is used to send e-mails and to enable the use of certain other MailChimp features. In accordance with the published privacy policy, MailChimp shares some information with third parties to provide and support the services MailChimp offers its users. 13.5 Newsletter evaluation

When you receive a newsletter from Seboom via MailChimp, information such as IP address, browser type, and email program is stored to give us information about the performance of our newsletter. MailChimp can use the images called web beacons (details can be found on https://kb.mailchimp.com/reports/about-open-tracking) integrated in the HTML emails to determine whether the email has arrived, whether it has been opened and whether any links have been clicked. All this information is stored on MailChimp’s servers, not on the Seboom website.

MailChimp is an active participant in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, which regulates the correct and secure transfer of personal data. You can find more information about this on https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TO6hAAG.
